Job Description

Job Overview Sheet Metal Fabrication / Duct Design
  • Well established design, engineering, and fabrication shop is looking for a experienced Mechanical CAD Operator for our engineering and design department. Experience with basic machine design, mechanical layout, ductwork layout is needed
  • this is a general purpose position, you must know your nuts and bolts! Must be experienced with general sheet metal and structural fabricating design and equipment
  • we have a standard product line but also do a great deal of custom design and build. Self motivated, highly mechanically inclined, and able to turn sketches/ideas from the engineers into designs rapidly. Experienced candidates preferred
  • ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience, but a mechanically inclined individual with formal Autodesk training would be considered.
Candidate will be tested for skills. Business is good and we need the position filled quickly. Responsibilities Develop accurate 2D drawings, schematics, and detailed plans using CAD software. Create 3D models and visualizations with our CAD software, IronCad Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and our in house fabrication team to interpret project requirements and produce precise drafting documents. Prepare construction documents, technical schematics, and graphic designs that meet industry standards and client specifications. Assist in the development of interior design layouts, mechanical systems, or system designs by integrating CAD models with other digital tools. Ensure all drawings adhere to project deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity. Requirements Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, ArchiCAD or similar platforms.. Knowledge of construction processes, schematic development, interior design principles, or mechanical system design is required. Strong understanding of drafting standards and technical documentation practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate ideas into detailed digital models. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Pay:
$45,000.00
  • $60,000.
