Please do not apply if you do not currently live in the Chicago area or are not planning to relocate. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to produce detailed custom millwork and cabinetry shop drawings. Responsibilities & Duties Create detailed custom millwork and cabinetry shop drawings based on client-provided design information like: architectural drawing, hand sketches, site visits, inspiration images. Complete revisions. Track project status and maintain an organized filing system for CAD drawings and related documentation. Collaborate closely with the production team to resolve issues efficiently and minimize delays. Ensure drawings are accurate, buildable, and aligned with field conditions. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of drafting experience using AutoCAD. 2+ years of experience in residential custom architectural millwork/cabinetry. Strong knowledge of cabinet construction methods, materials, finishes, and architectural millwork hardware is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and written specifications. Experience taking accurate site measurements. Proficiency in MS Office. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects.
