In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and system designs that support various construction and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in CAD drafting, mechanical engineering principles, and industry standards such as ASME codes and GD&T. Your contributions will be essential in translating conceptual designs into precise, manufacturable components and assemblies, ensuring project accuracy and efficiency from initial concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Autocad. Manager will look at other 3D CAD Softwares as well such as Inventor, Creo, etc... Will work from existing designs handling modeling and detailing responsibilities to complete designs for manufacturing. Collaborate with engineers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure proper manufacturing tolerances Prepare technical documentation including assembly instructions, technical writing, and reports Support project teams by reviewing drawings for compliance with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical drafting or design within manufacturing, or engineering environments Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks. Manager may accept other 3D CAD softwares such as Creo or Inventor. Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts such as schematics, system design, assembly processes, and technical writing Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across diverse projectsIf you are passionate about precision drafting, innovative system design, and advancing your career within a collaborative environment focused on excellence in mechanical engineering solutions, we encourage you to apply today.
