The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical design and be proficient in various CAD software, specifically experience with Cabinet Vision and/or other cabinet softward programs. Background in Cabinetry and woodwork production is also very helpful. Primary responsibilities will revolve around the creation of production files to be run on our CNC router used to create our client's projects. Designs are created by our Design Consultants, and it is the responsibility of the drafter to make the modification necessary to produce the project, including the following tasks: Review of Design for completeness; Communication with Design Consultants and Production to assure all required data to manufacture, order materials and install our products is present. Creation of instructions and modification of drawings to list installation steps, as required. Specification of special orders to support the build requirements of client projects. Updating of our design software with updated components, accessories, etc. Communication with builders and/or installers when questions arise. Responsibilities Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on specifications provided by engineers. Create and modify mechanical designs using Cabinet Vision. Draft schematics for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and provide technical support during the design phase. Conduct regular reviews of designs to identify potential issues or improvements. Maintain organized documentation of all design files and revisions. Assist in the preparation of project presentations by creating visual aids using 2D animation techniques when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in CAD software specifically Cabinet Vision, however, other cabinet software is a plus. Strong understanding of cabinet design principles and practices. Experience in drafting schematics and technical drawings. Ability to build and modify designs based on feedback from engineering teams. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A portfolio showcasing previous work is preferred but not required. Join us as we push the boundaries of design innovation!
