Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through Amazon's approved 3rd party Direct Source provider for the duration of the specified project and will not be an employee of Amazon. We are seeking a talented and driven design professional to join a dynamic team focused on creating and standardizing detailed facility layouts across a large-scale fulfillment network. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the design and organization of complex operational environments, including work areas, material handling equipment, and storage systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives with minimal direction, produces high-quality drawing sets with precision and consistency, and brings a strong foundation in facility layout and design. This individual will collaborate closely with a team of designers and stakeholders, adapting fluidly to evolving feedback and established design methodologies to deliver solutions that meet both current operational needs and future strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and material handling components based on existing examples and new design requirements Develop high-detail plan views and corresponding elevation views for facility layouts across a fulfillment network Support the standardization of workspaces and designs to ensure consistency across multiple operational sites Provide design support for future facility initiatives, including conveyor design and layout planning Organize and manage drawing layers and files to maintain accuracy and accessibility across projects Collaborate with designers and team members to incorporate real-time feedback into design revisions Adapt to established design processes and methodologies while contributing creative and practical solutions Communicate design concepts and updates effectively to various audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders Lead or support small group discussions related to design progress and project milestones
Skills:
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Revit for 2D and 3D facility design Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite Ability to manage and organize drawing layers with a high level of precision Solid understanding of material handling equipment, storage systems, and fulfillment center environments Experience with facility layout and organization, including manufacturing or warehouse environments Ability to pivot and adapt quickly to new design processes and team feedback Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences Capacity to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining high output quality Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented design environment
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience drawing in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or manufacturing environment Background in architectural design, robotic manufacturing design, or small firm design work is strongly preferred Experience with conveyor design and layout is a plus Exposure to automotive or pharmaceutical facility design environments is beneficial
Qualifications:

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $35/hr to $40/hr Tundra's benefits offering includes optional medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and a New Child Benefit.
