CAD Detailer (Production Design)
Location:
Northbridge, MA Compensation:
$70,000•$80,000•commensurate with experience. Overview We are seeking a highly motivated CAD Detailer to join our team and play a critical role in bringing creative concepts to life. This position bridges the gap between design and production—transforming conceptual 3D exhibit designs into detailed, buildable structures. This is an on-site role that requires close collaboration with project managers, designers, and production teams. Key Responsibilities Translate conceptual 3D designs into detailed, production-ready CAD drawings and models Develop structural layouts including dimensions, materials, connection points, and hardware specifications Create and prepare part files for CNC cutting and fabrication Collaborate closely with exhibit designers to ensure design intent is accurately executed Work cross-functionally with carpentry, production, and warehouse teams to support build execution Revise drawings based on feedback, timelines, and production requirements Ensure accuracy, feasibility, and efficiency in all detailing work Required Qualification s Strong experience with 3D CAD modeling (AutoCAD or similar) Ability to interpret and translate conceptual designs into structural realities Experience working with wood and/or metal fabrication (wood preferred) Familiarity with CNC file preparation and manufacturing processes Hands-on understanding of how things are built (shop, fabrication, or construction experience is highly valued) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in trade shows, exhibits, millwork, or custom fabrication environments Background in architectural millwork, custom woodworking, or similar industries Prior experience collaborating with both creative and production teams About Us Our client is a well-established, full-service experiential marketing and exhibit solutions company with decades of experience delivering high-impact, custom-built environments for leading brands.
