Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will transform conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and detailed plans that drive successful project execution across various disciplines. Your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software will be essential in creating accurate schematics, system designs, and construction documents. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from architectural layouts to mechanical systems, ensuring clarity and precision at every stage. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret sketches, blueprints, and conceptual ideas into comprehensive technical drawings. Prepare schematics and system designs for construction projects, interior layouts, mechanical systems, and graphic presentations. Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements while maintaining accuracy and clarity. Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes during the project lifecycle. Assist in creating visualizations including 2D animations or graphic design elements to enhance project presentations. Maintain organized digital files of all CAD documents and ensure version control throughout project phases. Qualifications Must be Certified in CAD or industry / OEM equivalent Must have Active Secret clearance Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max. Strong understanding of drafting principles across disciplines including architecture, interior design, mechanical design, and construction documentation. Familiarity with schematic development and system design processes. Knowledge of construction standards and building codes relevant to drafting practices. Ability to interpret sketches and technical specifications accurately. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for effective collaboration. Nice-to-have skills include experience with 2D animation, graphic design tools, or experience in system design for complex projects.
