  • Drafter (3D CAD) Job Summary Statement Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Drafter to support new product development and enhancements through the creation of detailed 3D CAD models.
As the global leader in Louvers, Dampers, Air Measurement, and Sound solutions, ADTI delivers innovative products that meet the most demanding building codes and performance standards. This role partners closely with engineering and sales to translate concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs that align with customer requirements and business objectives.
What You'll Do:
Develop new drawings and 3D CAD models based on existing standards, sketches, and engineering input Apply drafting fundamentals including orthographic views, dimensioning practices, and scaling Measure physical parts using digital calipers to validate dimensions, materials, and tolerances Support product development by validating form, fit, and function within assemblies Maintain working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and building materials Establish and maintain drafting standards, including scalable and universal design inputs Ensure designs align with engineering principles, quality standards, and business requirements Partner with engineering and sales teams to refine designs and meet customer expectations Identify and reduce potential defects through improved and innovative design solutions Manage workload and timelines to meet project deadlines with a high level of accuracy
What We're Looking For:
Associate's degree or Drafting Certificate with 3+ years of relevant experience Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design and Microsoft Office tools Ability to interpret concepts and specifications into detailed technical drawings Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and design integrity Ability to adapt to changing priorities, design updates, and deadlines
Preferred:
Experience with Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD) Experience with Autodesk Vault Experience with 3D printing technologies Work Environment The work environment is primarily in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a climate-controlled atmosphere designed for productivity. There may be occasional opportunities to visit a lab or plant for collaboration, testing, or product validation activities.
