Sr. CAD/BIM Bridge Designer

Job Description A leading engineering consulting client of Insight Global is looking to add a Bridge CAD Designer to their growing transportation team. Supporting bridge projects across the country, this individual will work hand in hand with a team of designers, engineers and project managers to ensure safe and accurate completion of projects for a variety of transportation agencies. Joining a growing team of 70+ individuals, you will play a part in modernizing aging infrastructure as well as developing solutions for the next generation of transportation.

Responsibilities include:

• 2D bridge plan emphasis in MicroStation with some 3D.
• Mainly dealing with abutments (footing layout and dimensions, stem walls, wingwalls, backwall details) and piers (columns, walls, pile caps, reinforcing layouts).
• Assist in the development of the discipline model, with direction from the Digital Design or Engineering staff
• Responsible for assisting with the creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for up to 3 projects at any given time
• Accurately draft and model elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current software

• Design/drafting degree
• 10 years of experience in 2 or 3D design
• Minimum 5 coming in bridge design 5+ years of experience in MicroStation
