Job Description

Integrated Security Solutions is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our team of professionals in Kalispell, MT. The CAD Operator will serve as the primary source for Computer-Aided Design, will prepare and issue all associated design/drafting packages, and coordinate with design staff. The ideal candidate will be driven, detail oriented, efficient, and have strong communication and follow-up skills. Essential Duties Coordinate with design staff to identify and properly document company related activities Prepare and issue all associated design/drafting packages in a timely, thorough and professional manner, while also adhering to quality standards Assume responsibility to ensure that project deliverables are issued in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement and construction activity Assist in the development, implementation and deployment of CAD drafting standards. Develop and maintain CAD library Perform checks of CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with Company standards Draft block, single-line, interconnection, detail, and pin-out drawings, utilizing the CAD library Render master sketches as drawings, showing the relations of proposed installations to existing facilities Visit proposed installation sites and make rough sketches of location as required Explain drawings to construction teams and engineers to provide adjustments as necessary Required Skills Must have working knowledge of CAD standards, PC application software and drafting/engineering practices and methods
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, current version of Auto CAD Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • High regard for confidentiality and experience handling highly sensitive information Education and Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
  • Post secondary and/or technical school Required
  • 5 years of progressively responsible drafting related CAD with emphasis on electricaland or civil experience Physical Requirements Sitting
  • 80% Standing/Walking
  • 20% Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
