Burton Engineering is seeking a Civil Designer/CAD Drafter who enjoys technical design, problem-solving, and collaborating with engineers to create quality construction documents for land development projects. Your Role and Contributions:

Produce civil site construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development projects. Develop initial design concepts, preliminary drawings, site layouts, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans. Prepare drawings and supporting documentation that comply with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements. Coordinate with project engineers, project managers, and team members to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of work. Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards. Perform basic QA/QC checks to maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Manage multiple tasks efficiently while supporting project deadlines, budgets, and team productivity.

Required Skills and Experience:

Relevant engineering design experience associated with 1•3 years in the land development field. Associate degree in engineering technology, BS degree in civil engineering or related technical design experience. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and other related software. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, surveys, and technical documents. Problem-solving mindset, Collaborative attitude, Adaptable and responsive to project changes. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
