Dixon Custom Cabinetry, LLC is a privately-owned and operated business serving the Triad area in North Carolina since 1969. We manufacture beautiful, quality, handcrafted cabinets and built ins. We are looking for a positive, self-motivated, and customer-oriented employee for this position; an individual with hands-on experience in a woodworking environment will be considered a plus. The following position is now open and available for your consideration: CAD (Computer Aided Design) Assistant - The CAD software we use is "Cabinet Vision" and is the industry leading software tool for the cabinet and joinery industry. It fully automates and integrates all our designs through our manufacturing processes. The software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing. The candidate must already be fluent in working with the "Cabinet Vision" software and have familiarity with the program. The candidate will also have the basic understanding of the mechanical and programmable workings of the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine. This means a computer converts the design produced by CAD (Computer Aided Design) software, into numbers. The numbers can be the coordinates of a graph and they control the movement of the cutter. The position will involve training in the Field Lay-Out process (we will train). The primary responsibilities of the CAD Assistant are to be focused on assisting our existing Computer Aided Designer person in maintaining the current and future workloads and operations.

• This position requires a very detail-oriented person that is self-motivated and can work efficiently and independently.

We are a high production operation and almost always busy. Our standard work week is 40 hours, but overtime hours (time-and-a-half) will occasionally be required. This is a morning position with a starting time of 6 AM. The schedule for this position will be 6AM-5 PM, Monday through Thursday and normally off on Fridays. You must be a very punctual person to be a good fit into this position.

• You must have the desire to be a top-notch employee with hands-on experience, positive, self-motivated and a customer oriented individual.

• Required license/certification: Driver's License; Forklift Certification, a plus
• A working knowledge of the English language is required.
• Must have a valid Social Security Number and a valid, current and clean NC driver's license and reliable transportation.
