Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical CAD Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical system designs and drawings using advanced CAD software. Your expertise will support the successful planning, manufacturing, and commissioning of complex electrical projects across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering principles, drafting standards, and system design, contributing to innovative and efficient electrical solutions. Duties Create precise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventory, and SolidWorks. Develop detailed system designs for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, wire harnesses, control panels, and programmable logic controllers. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate technical specifications into accurate CAD drawings. Incorporate industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) into design documentation to ensure compliance. Contribute to project planning by providing detailed layout designs that optimize space and functionality. Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations throughout the design process. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Inventory, and SolidWorks. Experience with electrical engineering concepts such as schematics, system design, wiring diagrams, and layout planning. Familiarity with industry standards like NEC and best practices for electrical wiring and safety compliance. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate CAD drawings. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
