Job Description

  • Brent Spence Bridge Corridor
  • in •Cincinnati, OH•.
The CAD Technician is responsible for supporting the Estimating Department with quantity take-offs and vendor solicitations, also supports field projects with CADD drawings.   • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • + Produce (take-off) earthwork quantities using digitizing software AGTEK, from either electronic files provided by design engineers or from "manually" digitizing drawings.
This information will be used by Estimators in the process of determining the cost of a given project. + Produce other quantities of various other items of work using various computer software, as needed by Estimators in the process of determining the cost of a given project. + Produce CADD drawings/sketches of various temporary works, such as access roads, shoring, special formwork, phasing and staging plans, etc., as needed by Estimators in the process of determining the cost of a given project. + Contact potential vendors (suppliers and/or subcontractors) to solicit quotes from them on various scopes of work. This information will be used by Estimators in the process of determining the cost of a given project. + Various other duties and responsibilities as needed by Estimators in the process of determining the cost of a given project.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • + College degree or equivalent technical school or equivalent job experience + Approximately 2 years of relevant experience required + Operational skills with digitizing software AGTEK or equivalent, and operational skills with AutoCAD or equivalent + No travel required, however some "local" field project site visits may be necessary to view work in progress and meet project personnel to better understand what is shown on drawings •
