Job Description
Sauter Timber is seeking a full-time AutoCAD Designer/Drafter for our timber frame and mass timber fabrication facility in Rockwood, TN. Requirements Strong AutoCAD experience (required) HSBCAD experience (strongly preferred) Hundegger Cambium experience (major plus) Ability to read architectural and structural drawings Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Strong communication and organizational skills Timber frame, heavy timber, CLT, or glulam experience preferred Responsibilities Create shop drawings and approval drawings Prepare fabrication and CNC production drawings Work preparation and production planning Material take-offs and quantity calculations Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, and production staff Manage project information within our CRM system Support the development of 3D timber models and complete timber structures Training will be provided for qualified candidates to advance into a senior timber designer role.
