Position Overview We are seeking an entry-level CAD Drafter with foundational experience in computer-aided design to support our design-build construction operations. This role will assist in preparing and modifying drawings related to concrete work, structural steel erection, and sheeting systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that bridges design and field execution. Key Responsibilities Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings for construction projects, including: Concrete foundations and layouts Structural steel components and erection plans Sheeting and shoring systems Interpret sketches, markups, and field notes to produce accurate drawings Revise drawings based on feedback from project managers, engineers, and field crews Assist with shop drawings, as-builts, and layout plans Coordinate with field teams to ensure drawings reflect real-world conditions Organize and manage drawing files and revisions Support project documentation and submittals as needed

Qualifications:

0-3 years of experience using CAD software (AutoCAD preferred; experience with other platforms is a plus) Basic understanding of construction drawings and terminology Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications (or willingness to develop this skill quickly) Good communication skills and ability to work with both office and field personnel Exposure to construction environments (internship, trade school, or field experience) Understanding of concrete, steel, or sheeting systems
