Position Overview As a Conceptual SolidWorks CAD Operator , you'll play a critical role in shaping the early stages of our design process. Your work will focus on conceptual SolidWorks drawings —visual representations of initial ideas and solutions that serve as the foundation for future development. These drawings act as roadmaps, allowing teams to align around a vision before moving into detailed engineering and production. Key Responsibilities Create and present 3D conceptual CAD drawings that illustrate design intent Collaborate with engineers, sales, and customers to visualize early-stage ideas Translate rough sketches, product requirements, and verbal input into structured design concepts Revise and iterate concepts based on team feedback and feasibility assessments Maintain organized digital files and support internal documentation needs Qualifications Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a similar field — or equivalent experience or SolidWorks certification Proficiency in SolidWorks software Experience with early-phase design work, sketching, and modeling from concept Strong communication and visualization skills Ability to think creatively and solve problems collaboratively Knowledge of mechanical systems or automation is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for training and career growth A creative, fast-paced work environment
