Description Summary:

This role is responsible for developing detailed technical drawings and layouts for engineering projects. The position supports engineering teams by producing design documentation, reviewing drawings for accuracy, and occasionally guiding junior drafting staff. The role requires strong visualization skills and the ability to translate conceptual information into clear, accurate technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

Produce comprehensive drawing packages including plans, sections, details, and assembly drawings for engineering projects. Interpret and convert engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into precise technical drawings. Apply mathematical calculations as needed to determine dimensions, material quantities, weights, capacities, and other project requirements. Review and verify drawings for completeness, consistency, and compliance with project standards. Provide guidance and informal oversight to less experienced drafting personnel when required. Gather technical information from engineering documentation, legacy drawings, equipment catalogs, and reference materials. Coordinate with engineering team members to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in drawing deliverables. Qualifications Approximately five or more years of professional drafting or design experience. Associate degree in drafting technology, engineering technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Proficiency in at least one computer-aided design (CAD) platform.
