We are looking for experienced CAD Drafter to join our team in our Woodstock, Georgia office. This role will eventually become a Hybrid role allowing for limited remote work. About:
In this role, you will be a critical part of the Product Development department. You'll be responsible for drafting lot specific plans, quality assurance of lot specific plans, updating master plan layouts and notes, creating and maintaining typical details and assisting with new plan designs.
What You'll Do:
Draft lot specific plans according to the checklist and complete within deadline Ensure quality control on all work completed Conduct QA review on plans done by other team members Create and modify plans for special assignments Update plans from redlined markups Update plan layouts and notes on working drawings Create CAD drawings for new floor plans Thoroughly execute and fully complete all assigned tasks to final product
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
Architecture or Construction related Associates or Bachelor's degree
Experience:
2 + years of AutoCAD Architecture experience in residential construction
Technical/Professional Skills:
Ability to read construction plans, good math skills (geometry, area and volume calculations) An understanding of the structural elements of homebuilding, construction installation means and methods. Ability to read plan redlines and develop schematic designs in AutoCAD or Revit. Ability to develop complete construction document sets based on Smith Douglas tools, processes, and standards. This may include creating master plan sets from base schematic designs. Knowledge of residential construction techniques and materials, construction documents, and building codes.
Computer Skills:
Required:
AutoCAD Architecture, Microsoft Office, Internet Preferred:
LotSpec for AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM software
Social/Interpersonal Traits:
