CAD Drafter

Candidate must be able to: Produce shop drawings from contract drawings to facilitate field placement of the reinforcing steel (rebar) using RebarCAD/AutoCAD. Coordinate material ordering with the customers and generate bar lists for fabrication from the shop drawings. Maximize shop activity by scheduling fabrication with the shop manager. Be able to work with customers of a variety of personality types. Experience preferred.

Minimum requirements Vocational certificate in CAD design / drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent combination of training and work experience. Must have the ability to use AutoCAD by Autodesk. Preferably some experience of drafting in the construction industry. Producing rebar placing drawings a large plus. Other experience in a CAD based detailing system will be considered. Familiar with reading Structural and Architectural blueprints Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to physically work in Tacoma, WA . This is an in-house position and not available for remote / tele-commute work. Must be able to work overtime if it is required to keep project schedules.
