CAD Draftsman

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and detailed plans using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will support various projects across architecture, engineering, construction, and interior design, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to support architectural, mechanical, or construction projects. Create accurate schematics, system designs, interior layouts, and mechanical components based on initial concepts and client specifications. Utilize SketchUp, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to produce realistic visualizations and models for presentations and project approvals. Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and construction teams to interpret design concepts into precise technical drawings. Prepare detailed documentation including construction drawings, system schematics, graphic designs, and 2D animations for project implementation. Review project plans for accuracy and compliance with industry standards; make revisions as needed based on feedback. Assist in the integration of CAD models with other digital tools like Bluebeam for markup review or Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM). Qualifications Proven experience working with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SolidWorks or similar programs. Strong knowledge of drafting standards across architecture, mechanical design, construction documentation, and system design. Familiarity with SketchUp for quick conceptual modeling and visualization purposes. Experience in creating schematics and detailed technical drawings for construction or interior projects. Ability to interpret architectural blueprints and engineering schematics accurately. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Nice-to-have skills include proficiency in Bluebeam for PDF markup workflows and 2D animation tools for project presentations. Candidate must be honorable. They must be reliable and able to deliver projects on time consistently.

Pay:

$20.00 - $45.00 per hour
