Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson specializing in the Monument and Stone Industry to join our dynamic design team. We are looking for a skilled CAD Drafter (or closely similar) to translate concepts and sketches into precise, production-ready technical drawings for memorial stones and stone fabrication. You will work closely with our sales team to bring design concepts to life with absolute accuracy.
Responsibilities Design & Layout:
Create graphics, scale layouts, and 2D/3D technical drawings for memorial stones and architectural projects.
Team Collaboration:
Partner with sales representatives to review, adjust, and finalize designs based on customer specs.
Technical Execution:
Handle sheet set-up, scaling, dimensioning, and information layering.
Data & Tech:
Generate new imagery using design software, maintain an archive of completed work, and handle basic PC/plotter troubleshooting.
Quality Check:
Review final layouts to guarantee absolute accuracy and completeness before fabrication.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
Strong math skills, excellent attention to detail, and great communication.
Mindset:
Team-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years of drafting experience in the monument, stone, or architectural industry.
Preferred Software:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Gerber, or similar CAD programs.
Proven experience in drafting within the monument or stone industry or related fields such as construction or architectural design. A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship in monument creation.
