Solidworks Drafter

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SolidWorks Drafter to join our dynamic metal fabrication team. Our projects range from large scale monumental stairs to intricate lighting fixtures. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and schematics that support our internal and client facing needs. Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into detailed, manufacturable designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes and GD&T principles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across construction, and manufacturing. A strong foundation in mechanical knowledge, CAD software proficiency, and technical writing is essential. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. Create accurate schematics and system design layouts for mechanical components and assemblies. Collaborate with engineers and to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise drafting documents. Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards including applicable building codes and client requirements Maintain organized CAD files, revision histories, and technical documentation for easy access and updates. Support the fabrication team by providing clear assembly instructions, technical details, and drafting support for field installations. Utilize Bluebeam for markup reviews. Experience Proven experience SolidWorks. Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in mechanical engineering or related fields. Familiarity with drafting standards such as ASME codes & standards and GD&T principles. Experience working on schematics, assembly drawings, system design layouts, and technical documentation. Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
