at Waseyabek Federal Services in Batavia, Illinois, United States Job Description Mission Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a 100% Tribally owned, Native American SBA 8(a) small business of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP). WFS is part of a portfolio of companies managed by Waséyabek Development Company, LLC, a 100% Tribally owned economic development firm focused on income diversification on behalf of NHBP that reaches beyond gaming and is a well-funded, experienced small business, with substantial liquid assets and experience in federal contracting. WFS has borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and provides outstanding support services Position Summary The Designer will work onsite under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the
ASME Y14.5-M-1994
(or higher) GD&T standard. This work will be done to support projects within APS-TD (PIP-II, LCLS-II, LCLS-II HE, Accelerator Support, LHCAUP, SRF, SC
Magnets). The work will be done using Design/Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements, and will include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.Responsibilities:
Design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project. 3D models and 2D drawings are completed in NX1980, managed in Teamcenter. Quantity will be directed by Fermilab for each task.Requirements:
- Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in Solidworks/NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal.
- A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer.
- Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects.
