Hybrid Staff CAD / Drafting Specialist Tempe, AZ At Stryker, we believe great design drives great outcomes. As a Staff CAD / Drafting Specialist within our Research & Development team, you'll transform ideas into precise, manufacturable solutions that improve lives. What You Will Do Design and develop 3D CAD models and drawings for concept, prototype, and production, focusing on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and accuracy. Create and refine components, subsystems, fixtures, and tooling in compliance with internal and external standards. Lead or support engineering change control processes, including documentation creation and release. Analyze R D input independently and deliver actionable design outputs that support project success. Contribute to product development by applying knowledge of current offerings and competitive landscape. Mentor peers on CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and related systems, resolving technical issues and building team capability. Participate in cross-functional teams during product ideation, testing, and prototype delivery, driving alignment and collaboration. Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards. What You Will Need Required Qualifications Minimum high school diploma with 6 years of additional relevant CAD experience, or associate degree with 4 years, or bachelor's degree. Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D CAD design and related software. Expertise in CAD modeling, drafting standards, and GD&T. Experience with PLM systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading or supporting cross-functional design projects. Familiarity with intellectual property considerations in design. Ability to contribute to process improvements and standard reviews. $77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual Travel Percentage:

These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
