OVERVIEW
Position Summary The Programming & Design Manager leads the P&D; Department, overseeing digital layout execution, CNC programming, and production coordination. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and seamless communication between sales, project management, and fabrication teams. Digital Layout & Design Management Maintain efficient workflows for digital layouts Ensure slab inventory and photography are up to date Provide timely revisions to keep projects on schedule Verify layouts are accurate and fabrication-ready Conduct in-person client layout consultations Collaborate with sales and project teams Coordinate with fabrication for production planning CNC Programming & Production Support Program CNC machines and SawJets Deliver programs to production teams Assist operators with troubleshooting Improve workflows and reduce errors Maintain software and licenses Collaborate with measuring and production teams Equipment Maintenance & Process Ownership Ensure CNC machines meet safety standards Schedule repairs and minimize downtime Conduct weekly tool inventory checks Implement preventative maintenance practices Build relationships with technicians and operators Develop and improve departmental processes Qualifications 5+ years of CAD drafting/design experience required 2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software platforms Strong understanding of drafting standards, technical drawings, and design processes Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset Experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing workflows Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or related field preferred Experience within manufacturing, construction, cabinetry, millwork, or related industries preferred Knowledge of BIM standards and project coordination is a plus
