CAD Junior Drafter

Job Summary The CAD Drafter supports residential construction projects by preparing and revising architectural plans, coordinating with internal teams and agents, and assisting with permitting and pre-construction processes. This role ensures accuracy, organization, and timely communication to move projects efficiently from design to approval. Duties Prepare and revise CAD drawings for presale and inventory homes, including dimensioning and elevations Implement plan changes based on agent, buyer, and internal team requests Review plans for accuracy and compliance with BOA guidelines and internal matrices Coordinate with agents, team members, and consultants to ensure plans are accurate and complete before submission Assist with custom home design updates and plan modifications Prepare plans for Architectural Review Board (ARB) and building departments Support permitting processes, including gathering documentation such as: Encroachment permits Site Surveys Elevation certificates Tree and landscape plans Maintain organized project files, folders, and documentation Track and update permit status reports and internal tracking sheets Coordinate with truss designers,engineers, and internal leadership on plan adjustments Assist with site planning considerations, including home placement, surveys, and field observations Participate in site visits to gain understanding of construction processes and identify potential issues Provide guidance and support to CAD drafting assistants Experience Experience in CAD drafting (residential construction preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and ability to coordinate across multiple teams Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Join us as a CAD Junior Drafter and be part of a creative environment where your skills will grow through hands-on experience!
