Drafter/Designer Metals

The Opportunity Lignum Group is supporting the appointment of a Drafter/Designer to join the Engineering Department within an architectural division, producing clear, complete, and accurate working plans and shop drawings. This role offers the opportunity to work on commercial façade and building envelope projects, supporting the design, detailing, and production of panel systems from concept through to installation. You will collaborate closely with engineering, project, and production teams, gaining hands-on exposure across multiple project stages. What You'll Be Doing Producing shop drawings and panel layouts based on architectural drawings and specifications Interpreting project scope using design documents, estimates, and technical information Designing technical details and attachment methods for façade systems Coordinating with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop and revise drawings Reviewing drawings for accuracy and resolving discrepancies Preparing fabrication drawings and CNC-ready outputs Supporting installation and as-built drawing packages Maintaining accurate project documentation within internal systems Assisting with development and improvement of façade systems Who This Role Suits Junior to mid-level drafters/designers with 1-3 years' experience Individuals with exposure to façade, metals, construction, or fabrication environments Candidates confident reading and interpreting construction drawings Detail-oriented professionals with strong organisational and time management skills Those comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Experience High School Diploma

• Required Associate or Bachelor's degree
• Preferred Minimum 1-3 years' drafting experience
