Residential Designer / Drafter Crown Heritage Homes El Paso, TX Job Details Full-time From $45,000 a year 12 hours ago Qualifications Project management Attention to detail Residential design (architectural design tasks) Organizational skills Full Job Description Residential Designer / Drafter We are a custom home builder seeking a talented and motivated Residential Designer / Drafter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming client visions into detailed, accurate, and innovative residential designs. The ideal candidate will have experience creating residential floor plans, preparing construction drawings, and working with local building requirements and permitting processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD skills, residential construction knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced custom home environment. Responsibilities Create and modify residential floor plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD Prepare complete drawing sets for custom residential projects Coordinate plan revisions and updates as needed throughout the design and construction process Ensure plans comply with City of El Paso building codes and residential construction requirements Assist with permit and plan submittals when required Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and clients regarding design changes and construction details Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential drafting or residential design Proficient in AutoCAD Strong knowledge of residential floor plan development and construction drawings Familiarity with City of El Paso building codes and permitting requirements preferred Understanding of residential construction methods and terminology Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience working with custom home builders Knowledge of IRC residential code requirements Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications Position Details Full-time position Competitive compensation based on experience Long-term opportunity with a growing custom home builder
