Job Description

We are seeking a Drafter to translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans, using Autodesk Inventor software with Vault Library. This position requires a high level of proficiency in Inventor, CAD, a strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and produce detailed technical drawings and plans: This includes creating architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings based on design specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders: Work closely with project teams to understand design concepts, address design challenges, and ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and modify existing drawings: Revise and update drawings based on feedback, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in the final documents.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations: Adhere to industry standards, building codes, and other relevant regulations in all drafting work.
  • Mentor and guide junior drafters: Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Maintain organized project documentation: Ensure all drawings, files, and revisions are accurately stored and readily accessible.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements: Continuously improve skills and knowledge by keeping abreast of new technologies and techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a drafter, detailer and 3D modeler
  • Proficiency in CAD software: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, and Vault.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles: Solid knowledge of design concepts and construction methodologies is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy: The ability to create precise and error-free drawings is crucial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Collaboration and the ability to take initiative are both important.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills: Effective communication is necessary for working with other professionals, and problem-solving is vital for addressing design challenges.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
