Job Description

Job Objective Clean Air Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented entry-level CAD Operator / Mechanical Detailer responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and fabrication documentation for sheet metal, structural, and welded assemblies using SolidWorks. Collaborates closely with engineering teams to develop design solutions, ensure drawing and configuration accuracy across all file formats, and support manufacturing through clear, precise documentation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and experienced in mechanical drafting, CAD modeling, and production design practices. Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed design drawings for sheet metal, structural, and welded assemblies in SolidWorks
  • Ensure correct configurations of parts correspond across models, drawings, PDFs, and DXFs.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Coordinate with and consult with Engineering team members to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Analysis of complex operations and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to describe how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
  • Self-motivated, able to keep track of multiple responsibilities at a time. Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of CAD, 3D modeling, mechanical and engineering knowledge, Design knowledge, Research and development, Computer skills.
  • Previous work-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience is required for this position.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks, Microsoft Office
  • Associate degree or higher, or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with weld drawings and welding callouts/terminology strongly preferred

From $23.00 per hour
