Job Responsibilities Duties generally fall within three categories. Design, Support, & Other. Below are examples of each with associated percentage of the time spent on them. Support (60% of time)
- Support production floor with technical questions based on documentation
- Assist sales with pre-order documentation
- Maintain Cad files
- Help create and update technical procedures
- Assist end users with technical support and troubleshooting inquiries
- Update and uphold design and production standards Design (30% of time)
- Selecting components based on application requirements
- Prepare schematic / Physical layouts / Bill of materials / Special instructions for production team members
- Prepare submittal documentation for client review
- Verify accuracy of documentation
- Participate in review checks of prepared documentation
- Create "As Built" Drawings for modifications made during build
Other:
(10% of time) Assisting with production - light electromechanical assembly Testing and troubleshooting control panels Operating and maintaining laser engraver / 3D printer Assist with VFD repair department End user site visits - training / troubleshooting / modifications Required Skills and Competencies Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred Knowledge of UL508A and NEC standards is a plus Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems is a plus Experience with 3D modeling is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong sense of urgency and time management Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Commitment to safety, quality, and process integrity Reliable attendance and transportation Education and Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Associate degree in drafting, design, or a related technical field preferred Previous experience in electrical drafting or control panel design strongly preferred What You Can Expect A stable, growing company with nearly 50 years of industry leadership A team environment where your work is respected and your voice matters Challenging, meaningful projects that go beyond routine drafting work Opportunities to grow your technical skill set and problem-solving abilities Benefits Package
