JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Process Engineer shall develop, implement, monitor and continuously remove variation from Key Process Inputs (KPI) throughout the casting and machining process. This position will be responsible for maintenance, review and continuous improvement of the Triax Quality Process System.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Customer specification and blueprint review for internal capability to conform to stated requirements. Perform internal process and product audits to the Triax Business System and Quality Manuals as required for continuous improvement and ISO9001, AS9100, and AS13100. Issue and follow-up on Root Cause and Corrective Action documentation. Candidate will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and internally communicating status of key process variables and metrics defined to show appropriate process control. Modify department procedures and the system procedures to reflect improvement changes in the manufacturing and administrative aspects of the business. Candidate must possess the ability to interface with customers and represent Triax as a steward of the Company. Exceptional communication (verbal and technical writing) skills are a must. Written communication skills required for writing technical procedures for internal use and as well as preparation of Customer-required certificates of conformance, return material authorization and other documents Provide support to manufacturing and engineering regarding part processing/inspections according to customer and internal specifications. Assist in product conformity and inspection checks, and acceptance/rejection at the MRB stage (scrap/rework). Candidate will participate in customer conference calls to assist with quality issue resolution. Other tasks as assigned in the Quality Dept.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience with Quality and/or Engineering roles within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to read, interpret, and act on blueprints, specifications, and other controlled internal and external documents. Preferably related to the investment casting field. Demonstrated experience with programming software, specifically PC-DMIS 2022 and GOM/Zeiss Inspect 2023 preferred. Demonstrated experience with having Quality Engineering responsibility for areas within the Quality dept. (calibration, document control, auditing, corrective action, MRB, spec review, product certification, ISO/AS audit preparation and conformance) Demonstrated experience with interpretation of OEM quality and part specifications in the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, and/or automotive industries. Demonstrated active participation in support of a development program (new part/product) while in a Quality or Engineering role. Demonstrated experience with Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine Airfoil components a huge plus. Candidate must demonstrate a sense of urgency for timeliness in maintaining and improving quality systems within a manufacturing organization. Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. NADCAP experience preferred NDT experience a plus Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
