Job Description

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to support the design implementation and support of control systems used in industrial and utility environments. This role spans the full project lifecycle ranging from system design and software development to troubleshooting and onsite support and requires a strong foundation in PLC based automation along with the ability to work directly with customers and project teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign configure and support automated control systems for industrial and utility facilitiesDevelop PLC logic operator interface screens and SCADA functionality using widely adopted automation platformsCreate and maintain technical documentation such as control drawings wiring diagrams and system layouts in accordance with applicable standardsTroubleshoot and resolve control system issues involving PLCs HMIs industrial networks and instrumentationSupport control panel fabrication system integration and field installation activities as neededParticipate in technical training efforts and provide guidance to junior engineers or techniciansSupport process based automation systems for water treatment and industrial applications including specialized equipmentPerform additional controls and automation tasks as required to support project executionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Controls Engineering or a related discipline preferred4 years or more of hands on experience delivering industrial automation or process control solutionsStrong experience programming PLCs and developing
HMI SCADA
applicationsWorking knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet IP Modbus TCP Profibus and DDCFamiliarity with electrical and safety codes including NEC and NFPAExperience producing control system drawings AutoCAD experience is beneficialExcellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in field environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word Excel and OutlookMechanical aptitude and a practical hands on approach to problem solvingProfessional customer focused demeanor
