PLC Engineer

Propersys Corporation is looking for a motivated PLC programmer for our Gas Monitoring Systems (GMS) team. As a software engineer, you will work with our engineering and construction team to develop, implement, and maintain GMS safety and integrity for our large-scale construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing existing PLC designs, making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance and running diagnostics. Propersys Corporation is looking for an individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and extensive practical experience.

Responsibilities:

Design and evaluate innovative software solutions for projects and assignments with a focus on cost reduction, safety, and reliability. Provide technical direction and/or activity supervision to contractors and subcontractors as required by specific assignments and projects. Troubleshoot problems and design solutions associated with legacy systems and processes. Prepare detailed designs and standards for testing. Perform other duties, assignments, or projects as necessary.

Required Education and Experience:

At least 1-3 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in mechanical/electrical engineering or similar background.

Required Skills:

Solid knowledge in PLC systems. Communicates well in a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with monitoring and alarm systems. Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC. PE experience is a plus.
