Job Description:
Process Engineer I Send your resume and cover letter to info@adventdiamond.com Advent Diamond is a U.S. pioneer in diamond semiconductor technology, developing and commercializing diamond-based components for high-power, RF, and advanced sensing systems. As we deepen our technical capabilities, we are seeking a candidate for Process Engineer I who can take independent ownership of diamond material growth and diamond surface processes to shape the technical direction of our technology and products. As a Process Engineer I, you will be immersed in rapidly evolving technology and work environment. Thus, the candidate should be adaptable and eager to learn new skills. Key requirements include technical competence, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS or MS degree in Materials Engineering, Physics, or related technical field with relevant hands-on experience in semiconductor material deposition and process development or semiconductor R D environments. Other relevant experience that will be considered for this role (candidates should have some, but not necessarily all):
  • Experience in semiconductor material deposition and process development or R D environments with precision manufacturing processes
  • Planning and executing controlled experiments in technical settings
  • Background in semiconductors, semiconductor materials and processes such as chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), deposition techniques and/or materials characterization
  • Completing research projects, analyzing and summarizing experimental data
  • Fluency in math/numerical analysis/data analysis/programming
  • Working on technical teams, writing reports, giving presentations, and maintaining detailed records In this role, you will:
  • Plan and execute experiments to optimize parameters for diamond surface processing
  • Operate materials growth reactors and contribute to doped and intrinsic diamond materials growth research and process development
  • Perform materials and electronics characterization to evaluate device performance
  • Execute research and production tasks with significant independence and efficiency
  • Coordinate with the materials team and other technical teams and contribute to reports
  • Work with chemicals, vacuum systems and other laboratory equipment in a cleanroom environment Duties may evolve according to project needs.
Standard hours are 8AM-5PM with occasional flexibility.
Physical Demands:
Manual dexterity, visual acuity, ability to stand for up to 4 hours, and lift up to 30 pounds. Other This position may require access to export-controlled information, requiring the company to obtain authorization from the U.S. government before providing such access to certain individuals. Accordingly, any offer of employment will be contingent upon the company's ability to secure any necessary export authorization within the necessary timeframe to support business operations.
