Responsibilities About the Team The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) is a collaborative team of engineers, technicians, and manufacturing specialists. We combine traditional and advanced technologies to develop extremely high-precision components that power Keysight's industry-leading test & measurement equipment. About the Role We're seeking an Assembly Process Development Engineer to lead the development, stabilization, and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-precision magnetic components, with a primary focus on YIG sphere production development. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with engineers and technicians to accelerate capability and ensure long-term production readiness for critical RF programs. You'll apply your technical expertise in mechanical engineering, tool design, and process engineering to bridge the gap between R D and production, ensuring high-quality, efficiency, and scalable assembly manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Lead process development and stabilization for YIG sphere manufacturing and related magnetic components. Design, implement, and optimize tooling and workflows for high-precision magnetics production. Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement. Analyze measurement data and provide manufacturability recommendations to engineering teams. Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and CapEx projects for magnetics manufacturing. Maintain and update technical documentation, CAD models, and process records. Train production operators and support knowledge transfer for new processes. Manage and prioritize project tasks, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 2-5+ years of experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, or process/tool design Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX) and blueprint interpretation. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with process development for assembly components (e.g., YIG spheres, Glass-to-Metal seals, housings). Automation and PLC experience Familiarity with RF, microwave, or mm-wave applications. Working knowledge of GD&T and practical metrology principles. Background in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar). Proficiency with vision measurement tools (Keyence, Nikon, Zygo, etc.). Why Join Keysight?
