Full Job Description Description:
The Sr. Integration Engineer is responsible to help support the development of manufacturable, repeatable, and high yielding processes for state-of-the-art highly specialized devices in the fields of Aerospace, Defense, Bioelectronics, and High-Speed Communications. Develop and execute integration plans and schedules that demonstrate concept and feasibility of new devices and novel technologies with established manufacturing tools and processes. Such devices often are not on the ITRS Roadmap and will involve creative use of external and Skorpios resources. Partner closely with Customers and Skorpios Module Engineering groups to identify critical unit processes and create process flows that meet technical objectives of the Customers' programs. Collaborate with Skorpios resources and the Customers in order to establish detailed project plans and complete project deliverables. Plan, lead and carry out demonstrations of new technology in advanced process flows Evaluate new product flows and unit processes to accomplish planned task and document lessons learned and foreground IP per contractual obligations. Provide technical solutions to complex R D projects related to incoming technology transfer, new product introductions, yield improvement, cycle time reductions and device performance improvements. Collaborate with Operation and Process Engineering Development organizations. Actively drive partners to meet milestones and resolve technical roadblocks. Co-create with customers and resolve technical as well as tactical issues. Prepare and present project reviews and summaries to customers. Whenever process or performance data are generated, report the results to the customer, writing summary documents and presentations. Occasionally report results at selected technical conferences. Define Objective Specification documents based on customer milestone requirements and develop integrated process modules to meet those Objective Specifications. Correlate output device parameters to inline factory measurements, metrics and processes. Provide reports and data-driven proposals to customers for process changes or performance improvement projects. Define Design Of Experiments (DOE) to explore process interactions and understand process corners. Establish data-driven process design rules and layout design rules based on the DOE results. Document all results and maintains Best Known Method (BKM). Collaborate with the Development Engineering team to address process deviations occurring on production wafers. Whenever in-line metrology identifies Out-Of-Control (OOC) or Out-Of-Spec (OOS) events, actively lead activities to isolate root-causes and provide appropriate corrective actions to eliminate failure mode in the future. Establish dependable Out-Of-Control Action Plans (OCAP). Provide clear set of operational instructions to empower Manufacturing Technicians and help them execute successfully all process operations units. Whenever applicable, guide and assist Process Technicians through challenging operation steps. Analyze metrology results and disposition lots based on data and pass/fail criteria. Provide effective pass-downs to support uninterrupted operation in the foundry. Using Document Control, Process Work Instructions, and Manufacturing Execution Systems, preserve working knowledge of all codes and standards applicable to process development projects. Assure that the manufactured products conform to specifications and application requirements defined by Customers. Monitor product line health with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and respond to OOC event following OCAP.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material & Science, Physics or Chemistry with 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree in in Electrical Engineering, Material & Science, Physics or Chemistry with 7+ years of experience. Industrial experience in Semiconductor or MEMS based technology with expertise in a variety of applications and processes. Project Management experience and ability to cooperate with various teams across functional areas. Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC). Prior experience and strong knowledge in Fab Process Technology using typical semiconductor process equipment like CVD, PVD, Etch, Cleans, Photolithography, and CMP. Basic understanding of algebraic concepts. Data extraction, analysis, and reporting experience. Knowledge and understanding of element interactions, process mixing and contamination. Memory and or MEMS process integration, including Failure Analysis, Defect Analysis, FMEA's to enable prototyping to robust manufacturing solutions. Ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes. Ability to plan and prioritize activities, perform and monitor multiple overlapping tasks/operations to meet goals and timelines. Preferred Education and Experience PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material & Science, Physics or Chemistry with 1-3 years of experience. Advanced degree and experience in a development environment.
