Alpharetta Job Description The Controls Engineer 1 will execute engineering activities related to the design and development of technologies, components, systems, and products for generator control switchgear Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, install, and maintain equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and industrial processes. Key Responsibilities Design and develop control systems and HMI applications for generator control switchgear. Support engineering activities for system monitoring and process automation. Assist in installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control equipment. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and system integration. Analyze system performance and recommend improvements. Prepare technical documentation and support engineering deliverables. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Engineering Computer Science Materials Science OR equivalent experience. 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience. Alternate Qualification Associate / 2-year degree with 4+ years of relevant experience will also be considered. Preferred Skills Knowledge of control systems and automation concepts. Exposure to HMI applications and industrial controls. Basic understanding of electrical systems and engineering processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
