Engineer/Process Owner (CNC Machining): MSP is an ISO certified Full Service Supplier of precision CNC machined products with complete product and process design capabilities, offering solutions to complex manufacturing challenges. Seeking a seasoned hands on Manufacturing/Process Owner/Engineer. A degreed engineer is a plus with 3 years of experience or with 5-8 years of hands on experience in lieu of a degree. Plant has various Screw and CNC Machines. Accountable for development to assure product quality, timely deliveries, continuing cost effectiveness and profitability. Candidate should have high familiarity with, precision lathes and mills, with drilling and grinding knowledge.
Responsibilities:
The Process Owner/Engineer will provide technical and process leadership to the assigned focus in the factory. This includes working with area supervisors, operators and production scheduler and involvement in daily production functions.
The range of involvement includes:
Developing and executing manufacturing processes, plans, and methods. Process and tool engineering and maintenance techniques to maximize quality, productivity for both new and existing products.
  • Evaluate new product designs and develop costs for products
  • Developing and documenting standard work including documentation of upgraded processes and programs.
Developing and assuring processes can be achieved using statistical methods to provide world class capabilities and equipment effectiveness. Process assurance and quality management documents/procedures establish and maintain standards, records, and systems to allow proper design, that allow improvement factors to be effective. Implementing and sustaining 5S and other Lean initiatives. Create and maintain manufacturing engineering documentation including but not limited to Control Plans, Process Flows and Work Instructions.
Qualifications/Skills:
Required Skills:
A BS Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing with minimum of 3 years proven experience in programming CNC lathes and Mills. Experience with multi spindle CNC machines Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles Excellent communication (verbal & written) and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances Ability to develop and implement processes improvements based on data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Self-starters and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability work in cross-functional teams and welcome diverse thinking. CAD/CAM /Part maker preferred, Knowledge of tool vending systems a plus. Experience in CNC manufacturing environment is a must. CNC Programming using Part Maker, Auto Cad, MasterCam is a must have. Basic understanding of electronics in regard to machine controls.
