Leader in minimally invasive medical devices for cancer, vascular, and surgical applications Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, with facilities in Costa Rica, Texas, and Massachusetts Proud operator of Arrotek, a U.S. and Ireland‑based consultancy pioneering minimally invasive solutions Role Summary As a Radio Chemist, you'll play a key role in isotope production projects involving cyclotron‑generated radionuclides. Under the guidance of senior team members, you'll act as a primary stakeholder for assigned project tasks, contributing to chemical separation workflows, documentation, and laboratory experiments. Responsibilities Documentation initiation, updates and releasing for new isotope programs. Draft, revise, and maintain SOPs, batch records, and technical documentation. Participate in target material and target design Work closely with engineering teams to design, evaluate, and optimize fixtures, tools, and other equipment for improved hot‑cell operations. Developing, refining, and executing chemical separation and purification workflows, with emphasis on ion exchange and other radiochemical methods. Work closely with cross functional team, such as radiation physics, health physics, cyclotron operations, quality, engineering, logistics, etc.. Perform laboratory experiments, data collection, and analytical measurements. Ensure full compliance with GMP, c
GMP, ISO
‑based quality systems, and radiation safety requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or similar area. Must have wet lab experience in a Chem lab. Experience with separation chemistry; ion exchange chromatography strongly preferred. Experience with spectroscopy techniques including IR, ICP‑MS, gamma spectroscopy, UV‑Vis, and ICP‑OES. Familiar or experience in radiochemistry, radioisotope production, or nuclear materials. Ability to interpret workflow requirements and translate them into equipment lists, process steps, and technical specifications. Strong documentation skills, comfortable drafting and revising SOPs and technical procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Preferred Skills Experience or coursework in nuclear science, cyclotron systems, or radiation physics. Familiarity with engineering drawings, CAD tools, or mechanical prototyping is a plus but not must to have. Awareness of GMP, cGMP, and ISO quality systems. Exposure to hot‑cell operations or shielded environments is ideal.
