Job Description

Join Our Growing Team!! Precision Pumping Systems has been a local and family own manufacturing business since 1972. To continue our growth, PPS is looking to increase our labor force to keep up with production demands from the sales of our increasingly popular turn-key pump stations. We are searching for talented individuals to join our control systems engineering team!
Job Summary :
The Control Systems Engineer 1 is responsible for creating electrical documents, electrical schematics, and layouts for the product. The position also involves checking panel parts for submittals. The person is also responsible for organizing and keeping their area clean. The position is self-directed and collaborative. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure our customers get the best products possible.
Essential Job Functions :
Design and verify quotes, schematics, and panel layouts to meet customer specifications. Work closely with CAD Specialist, Service, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to meet customer requirements and continually improve as per company quality standards. Innovate and create new cutting-edge products for PPS. Initiate process improvement to improve processes, improve quality, and reduce cost. Cross-train and learn other functions as needed.
Physical Demands :
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee may be asked to handle power tools and to manipulate tools, wires, and components. The employee is required to work at a desk for long periods of time. The position may involve lifting +/- 20 pounds for short periods throughout the day. This position requires working outdoors on pump stations and panels.
Travel :
Some travel is required for startups and/or technical troubleshooting.
