Process Engineer I/II Chobani $82,500.00 - $129,800.00, parental leave, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), relocation assistance United States, Idaho, Twin Falls 3450 Kimberly Road (Show on map) May 03, 2026 Summary The Processing Engineer is responsible for defining, optimizing, and implementing best-in-class manufacturing technologies across dairy processing operations. This role develops, maintains, and standardizes equipment and process specifications while driving engineering projects from concept through commissioning and start-up. Working closely with the Director of Processing, this individual will lead execution of assigned projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and performance expectations. This role requires strong technical expertise, sound decision-making, and the ability to operate independently while influencing cross-functional teams. This position plays a critical role in improving process performance, supporting innovation, and enabling scalable, efficient manufacturing across the facility. This role may be filled at theProcess Engineer I or Process Engineer II level, depending on experience, technical capability, and demonstrated impact. This is an onsite position based inTwin Falls, Idaho. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Relocation assistance is provided. Responsibilities
Support dairy processing initiatives by partnering with project management, automation, and operations teams to improve performance and efficiency
Assist in the development, documentation, and standardization of processing equipment and systems used in the manufacturing of Greek yogurt
Participate in engineering projects from early design through installation, commissioning, and start-up, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle
Contribute to equipment selection and process design, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets
Collaborate with operations, packaging engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support plant initiatives and troubleshoot processing challenges
Work closely with R D, Quality, and Commercial teams to help bring new products and process improvements to life
Communicate and coordinate with equipment vendors and internal stakeholders to support project execution
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on process reliability, efficiency, and product quality
Take on increasing ownership of project scope and responsibilities as experience grows, with opportunities to lead smaller projects over time
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or related Engineering discipline
1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, or a similar environment (internships or co-op experience considered for entry-level candidates)
Exposure to hygienic or food-grade processing systems (dairy experience is a plus but not required)
Basic understanding of processing equipment such as pumps, piping systems, heat exchangers, or similar systems
Familiarity with engineering design, project coordination, or continuous improvement concepts
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar software is a plus, not required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Additional Requirements Willingness to travel as needed and spend time onsite outside of standard hours during project phases, including weekends
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying conditions

The salary range for this full-time position is $82,500.00 - $129,800.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
