Job Duties:

Lead and manage data collection and preparation, performing detailed engineering calculations and writing formal technical reports for complex projects. Continuously analyze and evaluate technical bids to recommend best-value designs that meet client requirements for operability, reliability, and safety. Organize and balance project workloads by serving as a Project Lead, estimating work hours, developing scopes of work, and checking deliverables prior to issuance. Identify and resolve unique engineering problems through design, analysis, and on-site field leadership work, including checking installations. Develop technical specifications and data sheets for process equipment such as vessels, pumps, exchangers, and compressors. Motivate, train, and mentor less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth. Ensure the consistent development of Process Flow Drawings (PFD) and P&IDs that meet rigorous industry standards and

ASME/API

codes. Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information and coordinate multidisciplinary project needs. Drive and implement steady-state and hydraulic modeling (HYSYS, AspenPlus, AFT Fathom) to elevate the performance of process systems. Perform calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering is preferred. Minimum of 5-15 years of experience performing basic engineering analysis and design functions within industrial environments. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or a clear track toward obtaining licensure. Strong understanding of API 520/521 and ASME codes, as well as pressure relief analysis and flare system design. Demonstrated proficiency in process steady-state modeling (HYSYS, AspenPlus) and hydraulic modeling tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to lead complex projects from concept through completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with clients, suppliers, and internal senior management.
