We are looking for a Controls Engineering Intern to join our team!

The Job:
The ControlsEngineering Intern will support the development, implementation, and optimization of control systems and automation solutions within our operations. This role provides hands-on experience working with PLCs, HMIs, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and troubleshooting of control systems and automation solutions Support programming, testing, and debugging of PLCs and HMIs Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve system performance and reliability Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment issues Document control system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures Assist with standard work development and updates to control diagrams Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Hourly pay is based on academic classification:
Freshman:
$21/hour
Sophomore:
$22/hour
Junior:
$23/hour
Senior:
$24/hour
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field Basic understanding of control theory and industrial automation systems Familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is a plus Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and instrumentation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities
