Our Williamsburg, KY facility is a state-of-the-art 150,000 square foot plant equipped with advanced injection molding machines, robotic assembly cells, and a dedicated team of 250 employees working around the clock to deliver excellence. We specialize in injection molding, gas assist molding, and a variety of value-added processes such as assembly, welding, and pad printing. We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about engineering and manufacturing to join our dynamic team. Our organization is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency and quality. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Process Engineer will be expected to identify areas of improvement, develop new processes, and ensure that all processes are in compliance with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
Develop new processes, implement and evaluate changes to existing processes, and provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency. Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history. Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvement Work with Management to identify new process improvement opportunities Collect, record, and transcribe data, document new and existing processes, and build reports Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material issues. Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide new project updates. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators and other molding personnel Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems Must be able to work independently and complete projects on time Estimate cycle times for new products for quoting purposes Skills and Education Requirements Proven working experience in process engineering Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, and manufacturing Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation Ability to manage multiple start-up projects. Knowledge of PLC, Electronics, electrical wiring a plus Strategic Thinking and ability to problem solve Working knowledge of process engineering software packages Strong knowledge of computer software/hardware including CAD or AutoCad skills Computer/Communication Proficiency. Ability to support high percentage of travel (50% to 75%) including travel outside of the U.S.
