Process/Product Development Engineer Location:
Bedford, MA (On-Site) Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Process/Product Development Engineer to join our team in Bedford, MA. This role will focus on the development and implementation of test processes for critical electro-mechanical assemblies used in medical diagnostic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, automated test fixture development, and medical device product development. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement test processes for next-generation medical diagnostic products. Design and build complex automated test fixtures, from concept through validation and deployment. Select and integrate hardware components and software control systems. Develop software applications using LabVIEW and TestStand. Collaborate closely with R D and Manufacturing teams throughout all phases of product development. Create and maintain engineering documentation, protocols, and validation records. Apply engineering standards, techniques, and procedures to solve technical challenges. Support process improvements, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations. Participate in cross-functional projects and provide technical leadership when needed. Qualifications Hands on experience in automated test fixture development for NPI (New Product Introduction). Experience in product development engineering or related technical fields. Medical Device industry experience is required; IVD experience is highly preferred. Strong understanding of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies. Knowledge of electrical engineering components and systems. Working knowledge of Minitab and statistical tools. Experience with robotic or automated systems is preferred. Experience with process validation activities. CAD design experience; Creo preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional environment.
