Qnity Electronics is seeking an experienced New Product Development Scientist/Engineer to join our Advanced Circuits& Packaging (ACP) business. As part of our advanced packaging metallization team, you will support new product development efforts by evaluating new product formulations and key technical qualification criteria. You will play a key role in developing and evaluating electroplating materials and processes used for TSV,lead‑free solder, copper pillar, and RDL applications. Key Responsibilities Conduct hands‑on experiments and evaluations using metal plating chemistries and advanced packaging processes (e.g., TSV, solder bumping, RDL, Damascene) Design and execute DOEs for plating and related processes to support new product development; ensure robust statistical data quality Develop and execute electrochemical measurements (CV, CP, LSV, EIS, etc) to identify structure-property performance of formulations Perform materials characterization of metal deposits and bath formulations. Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques and background in surface characterization including profilometry, SEM, FTIR, AFM, etc. Collaborate closely with application, analytical, scale-up, and global R teams Generate data packages for internal and external reports Build strong technical relationships with customers and plating‑tool vendors Ensure safe operation of laboratory activities and contribute to safety improvement initiatives Support intellectual property development efforts Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (M.S. preferred) Experience in product development (3+ years) is highly preferred Background in materials science as pertaining to electrochemical processes is an advantage Proficiency in DOE, statistical design methodologies, quality engineering #LI-LH1 Join ourTalent Community to stay connected with us!
