Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Process Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing process optimization initiatives. Ideal Experience:
Developmental or production experience leading teams the development and scale up of specialty powder products. Experience within pilot and flexible production operations is ideal, with the ability to organize and standardize dynamic and changing product streams still in their development phases. Technical transfer to production facilities and supporting their initial launches and troubleshooting is an additional component of this role where past experience, particularly in new builds and launches is desirable. Responsibilities
- Sponsor and leader of safety and 5S activities in the process engineering group, ensuring that all tasks are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Leads the process engineers in the development, standardization, and maintenance of the battery material unit operations. Develop and report on uptime, reliability, and uptime metrics.
- Prioritize staffing between projects and programs related to the process engineering activities.
- Manage the 1 pilot production line and other operations to ensure that customer samples and orders are delivered on-time and on-quality.
- Responsible for the management of the group's management of change (MOC) protocols. Leads process changes and maintains FMEAs for the designated projects and assets.
- Mentor team members in process engineering best practices
- Develop a strong fundamental understanding of the complete battery materials production process for all 6K energy chemistries.
- In coordination with 6K scientists, define experiment parameters, execute experimental plans and report results. Use statistical analysis to assess and report experimental results.
- Operationally focused on improving processes and product quality, yields, cost and performance. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Material Science.
- 3+ years of experience leading process, engineering or operations groups in a materials development or production environment.
- 5+ years of experience in materials and/or chemical process development preferably with battery, high temperature materials and or metals.
- Extensive Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments background.
- Strong experience and desire to trouble shoot and work hands-on with lab and pilot equipment. Mechanically adept.
- Demonstrated ability to understand processes and the interaction between the material, process, equipment and the associated impact to product performance
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and develop processes where standard chemical processes are not immediately applicable.
- Strong leadership, organizational and project management skills.
- Six sigma training is desirable .

Pay:
$140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
