- Wellbeing programs including Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for the overall development and maintenance of documentation that captures best operating practices for the Maryland Logistics Center (MLC).
- Provide process engineering support to MLC Departments under the direction of the CI Manager.
- Lead teams of Technicians to create and maintain standard documentation for the various operations in the MLC, ensuring uniformity across the network. Expected to stay current on industry standards and latest developments. Apply best practices and ensure that they are approved and documented. Critically analyze processes/systems/practices to identify gaps/opportunities for improvement.
- Focus on cost reduction programs, process improvements, and engineering service requests as well as evaluation and recommendation of process capital improvements and automation in coordination with Project Engineers.
- Develop the following documents for the assigned area: Department Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, maintain Process Audit Sheets, Startup & Shutdown procedures, and Operational Cleaning procedures/Develop documentation for new projects and maintain annually (or as required) for ongoing system.
- Work with Project Engineering to set appropriate documentation standards for vendors and contractors that will facilitate ease of use in developing training documentation for warehouse staff.
- Participate in documentation to support Journey to Excellence activities and projects.
- Assist with coaching and developing Technicians to improve their problem-solving skills, allowing them to be more effective team members.
Level of Education and Discipline:
- Bachelor's, Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial preferred, Food Science or relevant industry experience
Experience:
- May be a new/recent graduate with relevant co-op/internship experience.
- Minimally, must possess one year of relevant production/engineering experience.
- Knowledge and experience with warehouse operations and equipment is preferred.
- Experience developing and writing procedures with cross functional teams. Interpersonal Skills

$63,250- $110,680 Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
